*Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We prefer candidates willing to work a hybrid in-office work schedule (3 days per week) if local. This position offers relocation assistance.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The Senior Brand Manager will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the brand and ensuring success against the brand's business objectives. The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for leading the strategic direction and brand success for our heavy-duty lubricant segment. The Senior Brand Manager will play a crucial role in accelerating profitable share growth within the Installer Channel Business Unit by developing and executing brand-building initiatives and strategic platforms that support our Heavy-Duty products. Key responsibilities include strategic leadership, brand growth, marketing initiatives, positioning strategy, brand awareness, product management and brand equity.

In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • US Brand Marketing Plans - the Senior Brand Manager will be asked to set and drive the strategic direction for the brand, ensuring alignment with business objectives and marketing opportunities that drive profitable share growth across the Installer Channel business unit. As part of this effort, the SBM will work closely with Global Equity, Product Strategy & Management and Pricing & Analytics teams to create US-specific plans for the brand and HD product categories

  • Business Marketing Initiatives - the Senior Brand Manager will also be expected to initiate, develop, coordinate, and monitor marketing activities for relevant products/brands and development programs. Define and refine the brand's positioning strategy to enhance brand equity and market presence in coordination with the Lead Gen/Demand Gen team

  • Brand-Level Business Tracking - Closely monitor and proactively manage performance versus plan. Understands how initiatives can impact Valvoline's ability to achieve plan. Determines market level pricing ensuring margin expectations are met. Analyzes where the profits opportunities lie within their business P&L and proactively lead top-line and bottom-line-driving initiatives to make plan across the Business.

  • Consumer Insights & Creative Development - the BM will be the expert in consumer insights, brand equities, and customer dynamics. Leverages deep consumer understanding to create best-in-class consumer communications across the businesses (Engine Oil, Drivetrain, Hydraulics and other automotive products relative to the HD business), the various touchpoints (advertising, promotions/incentives, PR, packaging, POS, etc.), and platforms (On-Highway, Off-Highway).

  • Account Relationships, Partnerships, and Growth Initiatives – Collaborate and partner with the Valvoline Sales Directors and their teams to plan and execute account-specific initiatives, proposals, and presentations to identify win-win growth solutions and deliver indispensable partnership.

  • Manage, Coach, and Develop the HD Marketing Team members – Manage and drive best practices to grow the competencies and capabilities of the Heavy Duty Do-It-For-Me Marketing team.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of brand management experience, particularly in the B2B marketing channel within the Automotive or Heavy-Duty Lubricant Industry.

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, manage cross-functional projects, and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and a track record of implementing successful marketing strategies

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
