*Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We are open to candidates working in a 100% remote capacity, but willing to visit HQs quarterly.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The UX Designer & Developer will manage major global web properties for all of Valvoline Global’s worldwide regions, reporting directly to the Global web lead. The UX Designer & Developer’s primary focus is to design, develop, and manage the main company website, valvolineglobal.com.

In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • Design: Utilize brand and campaign guidelines to execute UX wireframes and designs primarily for valvolineglobal.com and other company websites. Able to envision multiple variations, versions, or options of a given concept into a wide range of visual interpretations. Design user flows to map out the optimal navigation and interactions for web properties. Create wireframes as a foundational visual representation of the user interface. Develop high-fidelity prototypes to refine and visualize the user experience.

  • Develop : Envision UX wireframes and designs with CMS options and/or limitations in mind. Work with backend development agency to request new and enhanced components for an improved UX design and content editing experience. Light front-end development using HTML, CSS, Javascript libraries to execute designs that will lead to new CMS components.

  • Manage : In collaboration with web team members, have intimate knowledge of global and regional site structure and content while guiding and influencing regional web content managers toward premier user experience and global consistency of content execution. Progressively improve management of CMS approval workflows.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in UX Design, Computer Science, or other related field of study with a combination of UX and UI design certificate or similar demonstrated work experience

  • 5+ years designing, developing, and managing websites

  • Demonstrate experience creating web and content strategies

  • Strong working knowledge of UX, Visual Design and content types with a strong aptitude for analyzing creative and providing creative direction to agency resources

  • Understanding of technology platforms and the underlying infrastructure of websites including, but not limited to Optimizely/EPiServer CMS.

  • Experience with SEO. Valvoline Global is supported by an SEO agency.

  • Experience defining audiences, audience segments and web personas. Valvoline is supported by an agency of record to assist in this work.

  • Experience developing measurement plans and associated website tracking. Valvoline is supported by internal analytics resources.

  • Experience managing agencies

  • Project management skills

  • Proven UX design experience

  • Front-end development experience

  • Optimizely/EPiServer or other block-based CMS management experience

  • Tools: Figma or other design and prototyping equivalent, Adobe CC Apps, IDEs

  • Technology: HTML, CSS, javascript library utilization

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft office applications

  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills to include high-impact communication skills

  • Attention to detail, ability to influence stakeholders

  • Process-oriented

  • Self-starter; ability to work autonomously

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
